  • Impromptu speeches – Everyone will complete!
    • Topic – Tell us about yourself. What’s your name? Where are you from/hometown? Where are you in school (first year, sophomore, junior, senior)? What is your major field of study (explain it to the class if it is not obvious)
  • Discussion of public speaking “best practices”

Homework for September 9:

  • Read Week 2 update when it is available
  • Read Chapter 1 (pg. 1-20) and Chapter 2 ( pg, 21-44)
  • Take the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 LearningCurve quizzes (not required – 10 points extra credit if you complete them!)
