Each team will submit a team charter (contract) that contains the rules and policies that will govern that group’s operation.  I will provide all students with an example of a team charter that groups can use as a guideline.  You may use the general policies found in the example, but it’s important that teams define their charter based on that group and the way that group will function.  Feel free to adopt policies that the team believes will work for them.

In addition, include the following into your charter:

  • A list of team members and roles assigned to them for the projects you will be doing. You should consider having different team members assigned to roles for the short and long project.
  • A proposed meeting schedule. This does not have to be a firm schedule but should generally reflect when and how teams will gather to work and strategize.  Please indicate which meetings that will be virtual and what method you will use.  While I won’t impose any method on teams, I think it is advisable to try to visually connect when possible.  The more teams can communicate face-to-face (either in person or virtually), the more successful your meetings will be.
  • A team name that should reflect your team’s personality/goals/project significance.
  • This is a group/team assignment. Only one team member needs to upload the team charter/contract document to the assignment dropbox.  This document should be saved as a PDF.
  • This and all Blackboard assignments should be double-spaced with one-inch margins all around, typed in Times New Roman 12-point font.
  • Please submit this to the Group Assignment 1 dropbox on Blackboard by midnight September 22, 2024.
