    • Topic – Tell the class about your major or discipline. Why did you choose it? What is it that you like about it? Provide at least 3 reasons.
  • Week 5/Chapter 15/16 Discussion
    • Syllogism:
      • Martin Luther King was shot and killed in 1968.
      • The murder of a leader or famous person is called an assassination.
      • King was assassinated.
    • Touliman method for argumentation – Analyze claim “Democrats are for the working man.”
      • Evidence: Policies of Democratic administrations beginning with FDR benefitted laborers
      • Reasoning: Democrats should be kept in power because they care about the everyday worker

    • The United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary  of independence from England this year. Create a 3-minute speech that acknowledges the milestone.
